Panay Island:
Flights to Boracay from Manila or Cebu to Panay Islands Kalibo or Caticlan AirportPanay Island Aklan Philippines has the Caticlan Airport and Kalibo Airport handling all flights to Boracay.

Each airport has its it's benefits of travel, some people like to travel by larger planes and enjoy scenic countryside views, the Kalibo route is then recommended, as the planes are wide-bodied jets by Boeing and the drive from Kalibo to Caticlan is quite relaxing and scenic.
 



Caticlan Airport:
Caticlan Airport on Panay Island
The Caticlan Airport is located just off the coast of Panay Island, just a Five-minute tricycle ride to the jetty port that takes you across the Tabon Straight to Boracay Island. Caticlan is the smaller airport therefore receives the smaller planes like the Dornier 328 turbo-prop by SEAIR Philippines, and the the de Havilland Canada DHC-7, popularly known as the Dash 7, a turboprop-powered aircraft.

Manila Domestic Airport From Manila to Caticlan Airport on Panay Island via SEAIR is just 35 minutes. From the airport at Caticlan to the jetty port is just a 5 minute ride by tricycle or coaster bus, and then a 15 to 25 minute ride by banca boat to the Cagban beach or Tambisaan beach jetty port on Boracay Island.

Kalibo Airport:
The Airport runways at Kalibo is a little larger than the Caticlan Airport, the planes landing at the Kalibo Airport are of Philippine Airlines currently operating a total fleet of thirty-six modern wide-bodied and narrow-bodied passenger aircraft. As of 1 August 2007, the average age of aircraft in the fleet is 8 years. Philippine Airlines is the world's fifth youngest operator of the Airbus A319-100, with a fleet age of 0.6 years.

Philippines Airlines Boeing 707From Manila to Kalibo Airport on the Philippines Airlines A319-100 the total flight time is just 40 minutes, then you will have a bus ride from Kalibo to Caticlan Jetty Port via SouthWest Tours and Transfer Company, this trip can take from just 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. (The buses are NOT old as you may read on other websites, they are within 2 years old and air-conditioned.) Once you arrive at the Caticlan Jetty Port you will board a banca boat that will take you across the Tabon Straight to Cagban Beach or Tambisaan Beach Jetty Port on Boracay Island.
